ClinicalPro is seeking an R&D Director for a leading Biotechnology company located in the USA.
This individual will be responsible for managing a number of programmes, including crucial business-development partnerships and confidential evaluations of technology.
Must be eligible to work in the USA.
Responsibilities
- In charge of overseeing all R&D product launch projects, including directing any required course correction to ensure that deliverables have been achieved.
- To achieve business and financial success, collaborate with various cross-functional stakeholders, including senior executives, marketing, supply chain, quality & regulatory, and these departments.
- Maintain close communication with quality, production, and sustaining engineering to promote ongoing improvements in quality, dependability, and cost across the life cycles of products.
- Direct research efforts for internal products and, as necessary, work with top management to integrate newly acquired technologies.
- Publish comprehensive programme investment estimates.
- Deliver programmes in accordance with schedule and investment commitments and submit programmes for approval.
- Lead initiatives through the product development process, working closely with marketing, sales, quality, and senior management.
- Adopt quality as a key value and competitive advantage for Verathon by optimising design control procedures such that they actually drive first-time quality at launch
- Mentor the team.
- Create a business case to support your resourcing demands.
- Control departmental spending and labor planning initiatives to fulfill business requirements on schedule and under budget.
- Provide an evaluation and technical analysis of outside product offers.
Skills and Requirements
- PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry, chemistry, bioengineering, or a similar discipline.
- Three years experience working in the life sciences.
- MS with five years’ experience, or BS with at least ten years experience.
- RNA production, purification, analysis, and research applications expertise.
- 3+ years of experience managing a group of scientists and research associates.
- An executive with strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Experience in CRO management is a plus.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities with a track record of finishing tasks in a time-constrained context.
